If you entered more than one search string, all of them will be linked. What does it mean? If you entered "Tolstoy" as "Seacrh by Author Name" and also "Published": 2001, system will select items, where Author's Name like "Tolstoy" AND published at 2001. If you want to use more than one word for search - use semicolon (;) as delimiter for words. In this case any of words will be used for search.
